Dear friends, in this post I have enlisted 5 of the most cherished moments of my life….the incidents that I remember most fondly, looking back at which always brings a smile to my face and a lump to my throat.

Five- Unknown Stranger Appreciated me

After the personality contest “Mr. Genesis”, where I lost out in the final round after I had managed to pull off an upset by first winning the intra college competition to represent our college and then making it to the final round contrary to anyone’s expectation, as I was walking back with a heavy heart, an unknown person came up to me and said “you were the best among all.....you deserved to win”

Four- I got my First Salary

I was filled with a sense of achievement and glee when I encashed the cheque of 12000 rupees that I got after my month long service at the first call center I worked at. The feeling of 24 five hundred rupees notes of my earning was indeed special.

Three- Updesh gave me his Pack of Biscuits to Cheer me up.

I was 3 and too innocent to realize that keeping a hot ironing machine on my foot would mean excruciation pain. As I was wincing and crying, Updesh came and to cheer me up and divert my attention from the agony gave me his pack of biscuits. Though it has been almost two decades, but I remember I stopped crying.

Two- My Surprise Birthday Party by Jitin

Jitin called on me to ask me to join him at gym. Though I wasn’t in the mood but he persuaded me into it and then did not show up. He later came and took me to his place on the pretext of discussing something and then walked me up to the apartment where everyone had assembled. And then – SURPRISE. Felt so special! The hundred rupee note that Dadiji gave as a token of her blessings is worth a billion to me.

One- K****** Confessed her Love for me

K****** opened her heart to me and revealed that she loved me to bits. I tried to talk her out of it and asked her that what was about me that she loved me for, to which she replied in a heavy voice- "every girl has an image, a picture of what her dream boy would be like… in terms of nature, personality, …..you are the person I used to dream of...."
